To remove a wood accent wall, start by loosening the edges with a pry bar or flat tool. Work slowly to avoid damaging the underlying wall. If the wood is glued, use a heat gun to soften the adhesive. For nailed or screwed boards, locate and remove the fasteners before prying off the wood. Sand any remaining adhesive or residue, and repair the wall if necessary. Keep in mind that removal may leave imperfections, especially if the wood was firmly attached.
